Motivation shouldn't be hard to come by for the Miami Heat the remainder of this five-game homestand.

  Next up are Jeremy Lin, James Harden and the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

Then there is a revenge game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night, followed by a nationally televised Sunday spot against the Los Angeles Lakers, with the homestand ending against a Portland Trail Blazers team that defeated the Heat earlier this season.

  Monday night, though, there merely were the dreary Charlotte Bobcats, and the Heat largely played to the moment.

  Except for forward LeBron James, who, frankly, couldn't miss.

  Closing at 13 of 14 from the field, his lone miss a third-quarter layup, James finished with his highest field-goal percentage in a game, as the Heat held off the Bobcats 99-94.
