At high noon Thursday, the scene on the driving range at Dove Mountain called to mind a popular yoga class, with golfers lined up one on top of the other and barely enough room to maneuver.
Sixty-four golfers were trying to limber up before play resumed, after a 24-hour snow delay, at the W.G.C.-Accenture Match Play Championship. The close quarters added to the built-in discomfort of having Thursday’s start time pushed back again and again until the tournament was four and a half hours behind its revised schedule.
