Sir Alex Ferguson saluted his Manchester United stars last night after they opened up a 15 point lead.
But Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was not impressed and branded his title rivals as “lucky”.
Ferguson danced for joy as veteran Ryan Giggs’ 80th minute strike sealed a 2-0 win over QPR at Loftus Road after Rafael had opened the scoring with a goal of the season contender.
But despite a formidable lead which sees Ferguson closing in on his 13th Premier League crown, City chief Mancini risked derision by belittling United’s title charge.
