The Cleveland Indians are officially on baseball's greatest hot streak in more than eight decades.

With 21 consecutive victories, they're now tied for the longest winning streak in MLB history with the 1935 Chicago Cubs, moving one game ahead of the 2002 “Moneyball” Oakland A's for the American League's all-time record.1 If the Indians tack on another win, they'll break a record older than the franchise's World Series drought — perhaps a portent of more history to be shattered next month.
