Last week: 6-8-2, Season: 19-23-2. Ouch. At least I hit my lock, but let’s all forget about last week and settle into Thanksgiving weekend football. There are a lot of high lines this week, with six lines over 9 points; which could spell trouble. Home teams in CAPS.
Packers (-3.5) over LIONS
The Lions, as bad as they are, seem to do decent at home. However, this game will be Brett Farve on a national stage, and it seems like he is on some sort of quest this year. Favre seems to be on a collision course with the Patriots in the Super Bowl, and never will more of America be cheering for the same team, as Favre represents the ultimate good and the Patriots are evil incarnate.
Jets (+14) over COWBOYS
The first really high line of the week appears. Surprisingly, the Jets don’t get blown out too often this season. I think Dallas will win, and by double digits, but more in the ten to twelve region.
Falcons (+12) over Colts
Until the Colts show that they have offensive fire power again, I can’t pick them to cover the huge spreads they keep facing.
Redskins (+3) over BUCS
Despite two straight losses, the Redskins offense looks like its finally moving down the field. I honestly believe they have a chance to win 4 or 5 of their last 6 and make a playoff push.
CARDINALS (-10) over 49ers
The 49ers are worse than bad. Oh, and hey, the Patriots get their first round pick next year. Great! That’s what they need; a top 3 pick to go with what might be the best team of all time. Let’s also let them all play with swords, that seems fair.
Saints (-3) over PANTHERS
Carolina has won 4 straight against New Orleans, but the Panthers are 0-4 at home this year and their QB is something like 68 years old I think. I'll make this the lock of the week.
RAMS (+3) over Seahawks
It’s been this way for years now; Seattle is not good away from Qwest Field.
CHIEFS (-5.5) over Raiders
Priest Holmes injured his neck again and his career is over. LJ is still out. But I don’t think you even need a running back to beat the Raiders these days.
PATRIOTS (-23) over Eagles
I could say it’s hard to bet on this game without knowing if McNabb is playing or not, but it really doesn’t matter who the Eagles QB is this week, they have no chance. Evil continues to reign supreme.
Dolphins (+16) over STEELERS
Another exciting Monday night matchup!
Broncos (+2.5) over BEARS
BENGALS (+1.5) over Titans
JAGUARS (-7.5) over Bills
BROWNS (-3.5) over Texans
GIANTS (-7) over Vikings
CHARGERS (-9.5) over Ravens
I really like the over in the Pats-Eagles game. It was only 51. The Pats will probably beat that themselves. I also like Auburn (-6) over Alabama. I also like turkey sandwiches on Friday.
