8pm- ESPN – Rockets @ Spurs – The state of Texas is brutal with these two teams and the Mavs. The three teams are a combined 19-7 and they are all in the same division. The Rockets have a slim chance of winning this game on the road and without T-Mac.
8:30pm – ESPN2 – UConn vs. Memphis – Memphis freshman Derrick Rose wasn't nearly as effective in his second game as his first, but this Memphis team is still really exciting. AJ Price has steadily improved as UConn's point guard and his match-up with Rose is reason enough to watch this game.
10:30pm – ESPN – Pistons @ Lakers – Joe Dumars insists he has no interest in trading for Kobe Bryant...this is Kobe's chance to prove to him why he should.
11pm - ESPN2 - Hawaii @ Nevada - QB Colt Brennan will play for Hawaii and this could be a shoot-out. Nevada took Boise St to quadruple overtime and the two teams combined for 136 points. Brennan needs one touchdown to pass Ty Detmer's Division I Record. I don't think that will be a problem. Over/under on how long it takes Brennan to get his first TD pass: 3:15 (Will be greatly affected by who starts with the ball).
9pm – NBC – Friday Night Lights - One of the best shows no one is watching.
8pm – AMC – Bull Durham – Best baseball movie ever? Only competition is Field of Dreams.
Non-sports pick – 9pm – Discovery Channel – Man vs. Wild – Here's the description "Bear tackles his biggest challenge yet by skinning and disemboweling a camel for water to survive the harsh desert climate." Awesome.
