by Jeff Briggs

Chick-Fil-A Bowl

Date: Dec. 31, 7:30pm
Site: Atlanta, GA
Stadium: Georgia Dome

Teams: #15 Clemson Tigers (9-3) vs. #22 Auburn Tigers (8-4)

Betting Line: Clemson favored by 2.5 points

Brief History: This bowl started as the Peach Bowl in 1968. In 1998 Chick-Fil-A became the sponsor of the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, and in 2005 the 'Peach' title was dropped. Since 1993 the bowl has featured an ACC team vs. an SEC team. The game has sold out for 11 straight years.

Fun Fact: Chick-Fil-A is delicious. Chick-Fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy is credited with creating and inventing the chicken sandwich.

Notable Schwag for the Players: Apple iPod Video Nano, Fossil watch, Jostens ring, Russell Athletic duffel bag and two Russell Athletic caps. Ooh, two caps!

Preview: Tiger Battle! This is a battle of two of the better defenses in college football, with Auburn ranking 6th in ppg allowed and Clemson ranking 10th, despite not having any players named to the First or Second All-ACC Defensive Teams. If the Tigers...sorry, Clemson, can win this game, it will be their first time notching 10 wins in 17 years.

Clemson's offense is led by 992 rusher James Davis and 1,045 yard receiver Aaron Kelly. After a slow 1-3 start Auburn made it through a tough SEC season, only losing to LSU and Georgia in its last 9 games.
