What To Watch: Thursday

by Robbie Gillies

7pm ET - ESPN2 - West Virginia @ Notre Dame - WVU has seemed to take to Bob Huggins' system and has come out stong this season. WVU is 10-2, but will their players have been up too late celebrating their football team's victory? Notre Dame is led by big man Luke Harangody who has quickly developed into one of the best post players in the Big East.

8pm - ESPN - Ohio State @ Illinois - Illinois has simply fallen apart. They have already lost four games at home, including a loss to Tennessee State last Sunday. The Buckeyes are 9-3, but all three losses were to ranked opponents. They have won five games in a row by an average of 18 points.

8pm - TNT - Trail Blazers @ Bulls - The Bulls have won three out of four games under new head coach James Boylan. But, those three wins came over the Bucks, Knicks, and Bobcats. If those three teams combined they MIGHT make the playoffs in the western conference. The Bulls did play the Magic close and seem to be turning their season around. They will be facing the scorching Blazers who have won 14 of their last 15 games.

8:15pm - FOX - Orange Bowl: Kansas vs. Virginia Tech

10:30pm - TNT - Sonics @ Suns
- The Suns are just percentage points behind the Spurs for the best record in the West, this despite playing a league-low 12 home games. They now play four straight at home and should have an easy game against the injured Sonics. Seattle will be without their two leading scorers Kevin Durant and Chris Wilcox.

Non-sports pick - 8pm - FX - Me, Myself & Irene
- Really an underrated comedy. Observe:

Shonte Jr.: Damn. I can't figure out the atomic mass of this motherf****' deutron!
Jamaal: S***t, that's simple. Tell me this-what's a deutron made of?
Shonte Jr.: A proton and a neutron.
Jamaal: Then what's this motherf*****' electron doing over here?
Shonte Jr.: I don't know.
Jamaal: Well get it outta there then!
