I know, we're a sports site, and this is a sports blog, so we should probably care about all this Roger Clemens-Brian McNamee-steroids talk. We should. But, really, does it matter? What did we gain from yesterday's proceedings? Nothing, really.
Going into it, we knew one of them was lying. And that's pretty much where we stand today, too. Regardless of how this all ends, Clemens will forever be linked to steroids, and (sadly?) for the common fan, that's probably enough. To me, the most exciting thing in sports yesterday was the little bit I saw of the Suns-Warriors game (I only was able to see a "little bit" because my roommate thought it more important to keep up with the latest in Project Runway). But I digress.
In the end, I don't think there was a clear "winner" yesterday. But, things certainly are not looking good for Clemens, especially when you consider both Andy Pettitte and Chuck Knoblauch have confirmed what McNamee said in the Mitchell Report. And Clemens 'roiding-out on Sen. Waxman probably didn't help, either:
