Barkley Finds Gambling Loophole

Well, that didn't take long.

On May 19, Charles Barkley publicly stated that he was done with gambling for "the next year or two." He was down to the Wynn a staggering $400,000 in losses, and decided that enough was enough. He was starting anew, maybe even reassessing his life.

That lasted exactly one month.

Charles Barkley is headed back to the tables in Las Vegas to play in a poker tournament about a month after pledging not to gamble. He says it's all for charity. The former NBA star is scheduled to play in a celebrity poker tournament at the 2008 World Series of Poker on July 2.
And so Barkley presents us with the question that has troubled man since the beginning: If one gambles, but it's for charity, is it still gambling?
