Bets Between MLB Players Mean We All Win!

by Robbie Gillies

The best bet is one that doesn't involve you. You get to witness the embarrassment of the loser, but aren't on the line to have to do something foolish yourself.Bromoblog has uncovered a bet placed between Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek and Orioles first basemen (former Red Sox) Kevin Millar. The two apparently bet on the outcome of the NBA Finals and Millar lost. So, what was his punishment?

Millar had to come out for his first at-bat to the musical stylings of Vanilla Ice. But, that's not all.

Although it might be hard to see (and you can easily be distracted by Brian Roberts' creepy smile) Millar had to dye his hair platinum blonde. How did Millar do? He flied out to right in his first at-bat, but delivered the game-winning hit on a liner up the middle in the 10th inning. The Orioles beat the Astros 2-1. Knowing how superstitious ballplayers are, I wouldn't be surprised to hear more Vanilla Ice at Camden Yards. Perhaps a little Ninja Rap? Yes please!
