It was a very busy weekend for Barack Obama, the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party in this year's presidential election. Huh? Oh, no, I don't mean in a "political sense" -- he probably made some speeches, I'm not sure. But I do know that he was quite the hot topic in the world of sports blogs.
“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser Friday night. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”
Before you think that was an unfair statement made by Obama, remember that Eagles fans booed Santa Claus, and cheered when Michael Irvin lay motionless on the field after suffering a neck-injury.
"I hear there's a bowling alley and obviously that hasn't gone too well," Obama told comic Jimmy Kimmel in a satellite interview from Philadelphia on Sunday. "So we're getting rid of the bowling alley and replacing it with a basketball court in the White House."
