Who Said Live-Blogs Had To Be Interesting?

by Robbie Gillies

Many bloggers do live-blogs. I have yet to do one, but I'm not opposed to it. Occasionally I'll follow along to a sporting event with a decent live-blog and a nice glass of wine. But not all events that have to do with sports should be blogged about as they occur. Gary Washburn of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer is live-blogging from the Sonics trial. Let's take a look at just a few random selections from his live-blog:

OK folks, the goings should get good today when Clay Bennett takes the stand after Jyo Singh, the director of commercial facilities and events for Seattle Center, who is expected to finish his testimony with the defense this morning.
When asked about a potential Bellevue site, Bennett said it was "a significant part of our market potential but there were restrictions in that site. It required a significant land assemblage." He also pointed out that the Safeway site was too close to road systems and they could not develop ample parking. *Bennett also said he expressed interest in the NHL and met with commissioner Gary Bettman. When asked about Renton, Bennett said he was excited about the site there: "Renton really wanted the building they were very enthusiastic about it. Completely an economic turnaround for the area.

Wow, the going really got good there. Riveting stuff. I guess to some, it might be extremely interesting to follow along as Washburn frantically types away to keep people updated on the trial. But. there are pages and pages of this stuff...I'll just wait for the movie.
