That's a safe assumption, at least. From the cringe-worthy department comes this bit of news: the Arizona Diamondbacks have placed catcher Chris Snyder on the 15-day disabled list..."with a left testicular fracture."
Good God. Do we dare get a description of how it happened?
Catcher Chris Snyder left Monday night's game after getting hit by a foul tip in the groin area.
Wednesday, Melvin told Gambo & Ash that Snyder will not have to get surgery. "The good news today is that he is not going to have to have the surgery," Melvin said Wednesday afternoon.
"It's going to take the full 15 days probably, to get him back playing and get him enough at-bats to where he is comfortable coming back," Melvin said.
I can't imagine the amount of at-bats it will take until he is "comfortable" again. Unfortunately, there is video of the incident, from Awful Announcing
I need to lie down.
