Here's Nike's newest commercial featuring Team USA and Marvin Gaye's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
Normally, a commercial like this would get me a little choked up and swelling with pride. But, with news that LeBron James would consider playing for Greece if the price is right in 2010, it makes the commercialism of it all just so apparent. It seemed like this team, the "Redeem Team," joined to represent the US and not just themselves. But, would all these superstars signed on if the Olympics weren't in China, the home to 1.3 billion consumers?
