October 15, 2008Scott Kazmir will start Game 5 of the ALCS Thursday night at Fenway Park, on four days rest, manager Joe Maddon announced today. James Shields, who was slated to start the game, will now take the ball for the Rays in Game 6.
Kazmir allowed five earned runs in 4.1 innings in Game 2, while Shields worked 7.1 innings in Game 1 and surrendered two earned runs.
