Matt Ryan (Falcons) – The Falcons are 3-2 after beating the Packers in Green Bay. The Falcons had a balanced attack with 176 yards on the ground and Ryan throwing for 194 yards. Ryan was 16 for 26 with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. He has developed quite a repoir with WR Roddy White. White’s 454 receiving yards are good for third in the league. The Falcons showed the ultimate confidence in Ryan when they left it in his hands on 4th and goal on the opening possession. Ryan hit TE Justin Peele for the TD.
Keith Rivers (Bengals) – Rivers tried to keep the Bengals in the game when he intercepted Tony Romo late in the 3rd quarter and returned the ball into Cowboys’ territory. The Bengals could only manage a field goal to close the gap to 17-16. But the Bengals inevitably lost 31-22.
Jonathan Stewart (Panthers) – Stewart took a back seat to DeAngelo Williams this week and it seems the two will split carries all season. Stewart did gain 72 yards on 19 carries but Williams racked up 123 on 20 carries against the woeful Chiefs.
Joe Flacco (Ravens) – Flacco completed 18 for 27 for 153 yards but had 2 interceptions. Those two mistakes cost the Ravens any chance of winning the game.
Felix Jones (Cowboys) – The Cowboys struggled against the Bengals but it wasn’t because of Felix Jones. Jones rushed for 96 yards on just 9 carries including a 33-yard TD run in the first quarter.
Chris Johnson (Titans) – It’s not surprising that Johnson had his worst game against the Ravens’ defense. Johnson did get 44 of the Titans’ 47 rushing yards and more importantly the Titans won the game.
Devin Thomas (Redskins) – The Skins were hoping for big things from their rookie WRs (Malcolm Kelly being the other). Thomas had his first game with multiple catches. He had just 2 for 28 yards, but at least that’s progress.
Eddie Royal (Broncos) – Royal added 3 more catches to his rookie-leading total of 30. He trails only DeSean Jackson in rookie receiving yards.
Matt Forte (Bears) – Forte rushed for 36 yards and leads all rookie RB’s with 383 yards. He also caught 4 passes for 25 yards as the Bears destroyed the Lions 34-7.
DeSean Jackson (Eagles) – Jackson only had one reception against the Redskins but he did return a punt 68 yards for a touchdown.
Kevin Smith (Lions) – The Lions are awful but Smith did score their lone touchdown against the Bears. Smith had 56 total yards.
Early Doucet (Cardinals) – With Boldin out, Doucet got some playing time and made the most of it. He had 6 catches for 42 yards against the Bills.
Steve Slaton (Texans) – Slaton continues to impress for the Texans. He had 93 yards on the ground and 2 rushing TD’s but the Texans blew a 17-point lead with just over 4 minutes remaining to stay winless at 0-4.
Tim Hightower (Cardinals) – Hightower continues to put up good fantasy lines. 7 carries for 37 yards and more importantly, 2 touchdowns.
Davone Bess (Dolphins) – Bess put up big numbers with Colt Brennan at Hawaii and is quietly becoming a player in Miami. Against the Chargers he had 3 catches including a 24-yarder and has been decent in kick returns.
