Pirates Hire Joe Kerrigan As Pitching Coach

by Ryan Hudson

The Pittsburgh Pirates, who have not finished a season above .500 since 1992, today named Joe Kerrigan their new pitching coach. "Joe Kerrigan brings to the Pirates a long and successful track record of developing and maximizing the performance of the pitchers on his staff," Pirates general manager Neal Huntington said.

Finally, the move Pittsburgh fans everywhere have been waiting for. Clearly, this will right the rudderless ship that is the Pirates.
