Confession: I started writing a post last night, when it was 7-0, about the Rays advancing to the World Series. I'd like to think I provided some sort of Bill Simmons-esque reverse-jinx.
I've been a Red Sox fan for literally as long as I can remember (no, I will not apologize for that). Last night's wild, unreal, unimaginable 8-7 comeback win is seriously one of the best Sox games I've ever seen, and that's saying something.
Everything from Pedroia's two-out hit, Ortiz's monster blast (finally!), Papelbon's 8th inning, Coco's at-bat (and eventual hit), and of course, Drew's home run and game-winning hit (by the way, J.D. - it's OK to show emotion once in a while) was, well, pretty remarkable.
It's the ALCS, and the Sox live on for at least one more game.
Game 6: Saturday night, at the Trop, 8:07 p.m.
