Report: Clemson Fires Tommy Bowden

by Jeff Briggs

Clemson has fired 10-year head coach Tommy Bowden after a rough 3-3 start.

Clemson was ranked #9 in the preseason AP Poll and was predicted to win the ACC Championship. Clemson QB Cullen Harper, preseason ACC Player of the Year, who Bowden announced was going to be benched for their next game, said of the firing, "It's what he deserves." Bowden will be replaced by receivers coach Dabo Swinney.
