What To Watch: Monday

by Robbie Gillies

3pm ET - St. Joseph's vs. #7 Texas - Sure, the Longhorns are ranked seventh in the nation but I doubt the eyes of Texas will be upon them until after the college football season.

5:30pm - Indiana vs. #8 Notre Dame - The two teams haven't played each other in nearly four years. Look for Notre Dame's Luke Harangody to dominate the interior.

7:30pm - ESPN2 - Syracuse vs. #18 Florida - The matchup to watch is the teams' two star point guards. Jonny Flynn leads Syracuse in scoring at 20.7 ppg, and Nick Calathes leads the Gators at 15.7 ppg.

8pm - Versus - Capitals @ Wild - The Caps haven't beat the Wild in Minnesota in their last five attempts but Alex Ovechkin only played in one of those games. They look to break that streak and widen their lead in the Southeast division.

8:30pm - ESPN - Packers @ Saints - If the Saints lose they're all but done. They would be three games back in the division and have no shot at the Wild Card. The Packers need the win to keep pace with the Bears and Vikings in the division.

10pm - ESPN2 - #23 Kansas vs. Washington - Watch out for Huskies' guard Isaiah Thomas. Yeah that's right. Washington has a freshman named Isaiah Thomas. I can't wait for the Knicks to draft him.

12am - ESPN2 - Alabama @ Oregon - Most people who follow college basketball know of Bama's Ronald Steele. The 6'1 point guard leads the way for the Tide but now his slightly bigger brother has joined the team. I'd imagine these two should have instant chemistry on the court.

Non-sports pick - 8pm - AMC - Million Dollar Baby - It's depressing, but amazing.
