The King and The Duck

by Jeff Briggs

It seems that the Cavaliers have finally found ‘The Duck’ to go with ‘The King.’ LeBron James (‘The King’) had a triple double last night – 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists, but he did not have the most impressive performance on his own team. No, that belonged to Mo Williams, who went off for 43 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds.

In Williams, the Cavs have finally placed LeBron with a competent #2. So, while some might go to other royalty to find a nickname for Williams, I urge you to remember the 1992 classic, White Men Can’t Jump, The King and The Duck being the old streetball legends. “They're working courts downtown. They're cleaning up.”

Hopefully for the Cavs, this means they too will clean up. Unless, of course, they have to play Billy Hoyle and Sidney Deane in the NBA championship.
