What to Watch: Thursday

by Robbie Gillies

7pm ET - ESPN – NCAA Basketball: Temple @ #9 Xavier - Xavier has won 21 straight conference games but Temple has beat them in three of their last four meetings.

7pm - ESPN2 – NCAA Basketball: Alabama @ Vanderbilt - SEC wins will be tough to come by for these teams.

8pm - TNT – NBA: Lakers @ Celtics - The Lakers return to where it all ended for them last year. You know Kobe wants to make another statement, but that will be difficult against the Celtics, who have won 12 in a row.

9pm - ESPN – NCAA Basketball: #23 Illinois @ Wisconsin - The Badgers have lost six in a row and could drop their third straight home game against the Illini.

9pm - ESPN2 – NCAA Basketball: St. John's @ Seton Hall - The good thing is every team makes the Big East tournament this year!

10:30pm - TNT – NBA: Mavericks @ Jazz - The Mavs have won four straight since Carlisle turned the offense over to Jason Kidd and allowed him to call plays. The Jazz aren't quite as invincible at home as they have been in the past, but it will still be a hostile environment for the Mavericks.

Non-sports pick - 11:35pm - NBC - Tonight Show - Santonio Holmes is on and he's a very, very, very interesting character.
