What to Watch: Weekend Edition

by Robbie Gillies

FRIDAY
7pm ET - ESPN – NBA Playoffs, Game 3: Cavaliers @ Pistons - Maybe the Pistons can give Detroit something to cheer about. Or maybe they'll just lose like Michigan State did. Yeah, that's a lot more likely.

7pm - Versus – NHL Playoffs, Game 5: Rangers @ Capitals - IT’s time for Ovechkin to really show up.

8pm - ESPN2 – NBA Playoffs, Game 3: Magic @ 76ers - If Courtney Lee plays half as well as he did Wednesday, the Magic will win.

9:30pm - ESPN – NBA Playoffs, Game 3: Blazers @ Rockets - What will Roy do for an encore to his 42 points?

Non-sports pick - 9pm - Bravo - Coming to America - Before Eddie Murphy went all Norbit and Daddy Day Care.

SATURDAY
1pm - CBS - Champions Tour: Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, second round - Follow the leaderboard.

1pm - ESPN – NBA Playoffs, Game 3: Nuggets @ Hornets - Chauncey Billups has been ridiculous in the first two games of this series. Can the Nuggets do it on the road though?

3pm - NBC – NHL Playoffs, Game 6: Penguins @ Flyers - The Pens look to end the series on the road.

4pm - Fox – MLB: Yankees @ Red Sox or for those in the midwest - Cubs @ Cardinals

4pm - ESPN2 - Penn Relays - One of the most historic American sporting events, but ut did it make our Top 10? Check back on Tuesday.

4pm - ESPN/NFL Network - NFL Draft - Watch the 4th best Non-Sport Sporting Event.

4pm - TNT – NBA Playoffs, Game 4: Spurs @ Mavericks - Who knows what's going on with this series. Both teams have won games by over 20 points.

6:30pm - TNT – NBA Playoffs, Game 3: Hawks @ Heat - Let's just hope the Heat mascot doesn't climb on top of the shot clock and cause a delay.

9pm - ESPN – NBA Playoffs, Game 4: Lakers @ Jazz - Kobe, you are quickly losing that title of most clutch basketball player. How about you do something about it and don't have another 5-for-24 performance.

10pm - Versus – NHL Playoffs, Game 5: Ducks @ Sharks - Can the No. 1-seeded Sharks climb out of a 3-1 whole to win the series?

Non-sports pick - 3:30pm - ABC Family - Scooby-Doo – The Movie - Am I the only one who thought this movie was pretty decent? (ed. note: Yes.)

SUNDAY
10am - ESPN/NFL Network - NFL Draft Day 2 - Check out what type of talent MIGHT be available in the late rounds.

12pm - TBS – MLB: Phillies @ Marlins - The ageless Jamie Moyer takes the mound for the Phils.

1pm - Fox - NASCAR: Aaron's 499 - Check out who's racing.

1pm - ABC – NBA Playoffs, Game 4: Celtics @ Bulls - Can Celtics players stop pretending to be injured? Last year it was Pierce, this year Rondo? I'm just waiting for Kevin Garnett to walk out onto the court on crutches, throw them into the crowd, score like 20 points and then scream, "ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE!!!"

2pm - NBC – NHL Playoffs, Game 6 (if necessary): Capitals @ Rangers - Rock the Red!

3pm - CBS - PGA Tour: Zurich Classic of New Orleans, final round - You think Charlie Wi is good at Wii golf?

3:30pm - ABC – NBA Playoffs, Game 4: Cavs @ Pistons - Cavs probably going for the sweep.

6:30pm - TNT – NBA Playoffs, Game 4: Magic @ 76ers - One of these teams will be looking to even the series at two.

7pm - Versus – NHL Playoffs, Game 6: Devils @ Hurricanes - “Gotta support the team!”

8pm - ESPN – MLB: Yankees @ Red Sox - Pettitte's been the Yanks best pitcher. The Red Sox send Justin Masterson to the mound for his second start of the season.

9pm - TNT – NBA Playoffs, Game 4: Blazers @ Rockets - One of these teams will be looking to even the series at two (guaranteed!).

Non-sports pick - 9pm - Fox - Family Guy - Stewie goes on the ‘roids. The only question is will they make fun of all these people - McGwire, Sosa, A-Rod, Clemens, Tejada, Palmeiro - or just a few of them?
