Take the day off from sports. Sure there's some golf, boxing, and racing on, but save yourself for some game sevens on Sunday.
Non-sports pick - 8pm - Fx - Groundhog Day
12pm - ESPN2 - NCAA Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinal: Syracuse vs. Maryland - The Orange look to defend their title from last year.
3pm - CBS - PGA: Valero Texas Open, third round - Winner gets $6.1 million. Makes me wish I could golf.
4pm - Fox - MLB: Mets @ Giants
OR Indians @ Rays
OR Angels @ Rangers
4:30pm - NBC - Preakness Stakes - All the talk has been about Rachel Alexandra. Can the filly beat the guys?
Non-sports pick - 11:30pm - NBC - Saturday Night Live - Who could possibly follow last week's Justin Timberlake? How ‘bout Will Ferrell
1pm - TBS – MLB: Twins @ Yankees - A.J. Burnett pitches for the Yanks; they’re 3-0 in his past three starts.
3pm - CBS - PGA: Valero Texas Open, final round - Follow along with the leaderboard.
3pm - NBC – NHL Western Conference Finals: Blackhawks @ Red Wings - The age-old question of whether the layoff will make a team rusty or rested vs. the team that either has the momentum or is exhausted.
3:30pm - ABC – NBA Playoffs, Game 7: Rockets @ Lakers - The only solace I can find in the Lakers’ awful play is that the Celtics played similarly awful prior to the Finals last postseason.
8pm - TNT – NBA Playoffs, Game 7: Magic @ Celtics - I've heard about how great the Celtics are in their history in game sevens. These type of stats are the worst. How many game seven wins Bill Russell had has no effect on these Celtics.
8pm - ESPN – MLB: Mets @ Giants - The Mets' Mike Pelfrey is the anti-Santana. He has an ERA of nearly five, but is 4-0. Whereas Santana has an ERA of 0.78, and is 4-2. Santana SHOULD be 7-0 and Pelfrey should be like 1-5. Can Pelfrey's luck continue?
Non-sports pick - 7pm - AMC - Outbreak - What better way to forget about the swine flu...
