New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is shopping a movie idea, and it's a doozy.
The movie, currently titled "The Xbox Kid," is about a boy from a poor family in New Orleans who starts controlling the outcome of NFL games through a refurbished Xbox given to him by his grandfather following a devastating hurricane.
Lets see: we've got sports, tragedy at the start of the movie (the hurricane), a kid, an old man (who is probably very wise), and naturally, a magic item. Magic shoes worked in "Like Mike," and of course, there was "Angels in the Outfield.”
Now, lets not get into the question of why a grandfather has a refurbished Xbox to begin with. I think this movie just needs one tweak and its good to go: can the Xbox be voiced by Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, or Tim Allen? Maybe they were a genie that got trapped in the Xbox during the hurricane. This is movie gold, get the cameras rolling!
