UFL to Have 'Draft' Tonight

by Jeff Briggs

The United Football League, UFL, is having its draft tonight, or from what it looks like, the coaches are dividing up the talent among the four teams. What talent might that include? There remains the possibility that Michael Vick will be playing football next for the Orlando UFL franchise. If it happens he will not be the only UFL QB with NFL experience.

Also rumored to be attached to the UFL are Tim Rattay, Ken Dorsey, and former Bills starting QB and 1st round pick JP Losman. Combined the three QBs have 64 starts, amassing a less than impressive 17-47 record. It's not a great surprise to see Rattay and Dorsey in the UFL, as both were 7th round draft picks, but Losman was a first round pick, competing for an NFL starting job as recently as last offseason. Hopefully a season in the UFL will help resuscitate the career of one of these three (like Tommy Maddox in the XFL), but I'm not holding my breath.
