These are the games you have to win if you want to be considered a good team in the NBA.
Coming off a shocking 89-86 win over the Boston Celtics on Friday night, the Philadelphia 76ers should have had no problem handling the Milwaukee Bucks last night, right?
Wrong.

Kudos to Rick Carlisle in Dallas, Tom Thibodeau in Chicago and Gregg Popovich in San Antonio for their success this season. But Doug Collins is the NBA Coach of the Year.
Collins' young Philadelphia 76ers continued to open eyes around the league by holding off the Boston Celtics, 89-86, last night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly.
The Sixers are now 34-31 and are a half game behind the New York Knicks for the No. 6 playoff spot in the Eastern Conference after Friday night's win.

With the trade speculation behind him, the Philadelphia 76ers' Andre Iguodala can now focus on what he does best -- playing basketball.
When his game's clicking, Iggy is one of the best all-around ballers in the league. Case in point: the Sixers' 111-100 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves last night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The
Philadelphia 76ers are as hot as any squad in the league right now.
After holding off the Cleveland Cavaliers, 95-91, last night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, the Sixers (30-29) have won four straight. They won nine out of their 12 games in the month of February and now sit only one game behind the New York Knicks for the No. 6 seed in the East.

Breaking news: The Philadelphia 76ers are a .500 ballclub.
That's right, for the first time during the 2010-2011 NBA season the Sixers don't have a losing record after wearing out the Detriot Pistons, 110-94, last night at the Well Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
First-year head coach
Doug Collins preaches teamball, and accordingly it was an all-around effort for the Sixers (29-29) in Friday night's win.

It's early in the NBA season but that doesn't necessarily mean it's too soon to take a glance around the league and see what's happening.
Some things were expected, like the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers and 2010 Eastern Conference champs Boston Celtics off to quick starts. However, other things were hard to see coming.
Here are my six early season surprises in the NBA. Please read, enjoy and share a surprise or two of your own.

Since the Kobe Bryant vs. LeBron James debate should now officially be over, it's time NBA fans move forward to another high-profile case.
Next up? Kobe vs. Michael Jordan.
The 47-year-old Jordan recently claimed he could score 100 points in a game if he played today and then ranked Kobe simply as one of the Top 10 guards of all time. Kobe shrugged off his idol's comments, but with the possibility of him matching Jordan's sixth championship title this NBA season the question will ultimately be asked: Is Kobe possibly better than M.J.?
While many hoop analysts and insiders will begin dissecting numbers and comparing statistics of the two great ballers, here are my four basic reasons, fair or unfairly, why Kobe Bryant will never surpass Michael Jordan in the court of public opinion. Please read, enjoy and drop a comment.

Parity?
There's not much of that in the NBA these days. Out of the 30 teams in the league, All Net considers only four squads having a legit shot this season at winning the championship in June. So for NBA fans in those four cities, it should be an exciting basketball year, but for diehards in the other 26 it's going to be another grueling, heart-wrenching eight months.
Here are All Net's Top 10 NBA teams for the 2010-2011 season. Please read, enjoy and drop a comment.

Who were those masked men who captured the 2010 FIBA World Championship Sunday night in Istanbul?
Sure we knew the faces of the old-wise veterans on the squad, Chauncey Billups and Lamar Odom, and the young emerging NBA superstars, Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant.
But Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Danny Granger, Eric Gordon and Kevin Love? Who were they?
