Sore Knee Keeps Williams Out Of Practice

Star running back DeAngelo Williams missed today's Panthers' practice session due to a sore knee, and fellow running back Jonathan Stewart missed his fifteenth straight practice with lingering pain and discomfort in his left achilles tendon.

Williams' knee injury is not believed to be serious, but Stewart's situation remains a cause of concern for the Panthers, who depend heavily on the strong running game that the two backs provide.

Williams and Stewart combined for 2,351 rushing yards last season, the highest total for NFL teammates in 24 years.
