Steelers Beat Panthers 21-10

The Pittsburgh Steelers rolled to an easy 21-10 win over the Panthers on Thursday night at Bank of America Stadium in the final preseason game of the year for both teams.

As expected, the two teams' starters played very little - the Steelers' first-team offense and defense played one series apiece, while the Panthers' starters played only a couple of series.

The Steelers dominated the game from the get-go as Pittsburgh's first-team defense forced the Panthers into a quick three-and-out, Stefan Logan returned a punt 80 yards for a touchdown, and the Steelers' second-team defense forced another three-and-out before Pittsburgh's first-team offense even took the field.

The Steelers went in front 7-0 on Logan's punt return, extended the lead to 14-0 on a 10-yard touchdown run by running back Isaac Redman, and then put the game away when Ryan Mundy picked off a third quarter Matt Moore pass and returned it for a touchdown to put the Steelers up 21-7.

There were few bright spots for the Panthers, other than the continued fine play of rookie running back Mike Goodson, who rushed for 79 yards in 15 carries (5.3 yards per carry).
