McFadden, AP Likely To Play

Rookie Darren McFadden and reigning ROTY Adrian Peterson are likely to battle injuries yet still play today. The Raiders face an uphill battle against an upstart Buffalo team while the Vikes face a tough Carolina squad.

McFadden has been seen in a walking boot but is expected to take a pain-killing injection prior to today's game in order to neutralize his turf toe according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network.

If McFadden can't go then Michael Bush, who surprised many folks by putting up 90 yards on 16 carries last week, will start this week.

Peterson, according to Schefter, is likely to play against the Panthers today. He participated in Wednesday's practice but took the next two off due to soreness in his hamstring. As Coach Childress pointed out, it's important that he not rush back from an injury like this because his legs are unbelievably valuable to an otherwise boring Minnesota offensive attack.
