Cardinals Can Clinch Division Title Next Week

Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals are about to do what so many pundits said they should be doing after so many draft picks in the top half of the first round for the last decade - win the division.  Riding Kurt Warner's franchise record of four consecutive 300 yard games, the Cardinals plan to celebrate next week when they'll try to beat the Giants (and San Francisco plays Dallas) and win the division for the first time in 30 years.

Kurt Warner is making a strong case for MVP following the Cardinals hot 7-3 start.  He went for 395 yards on 32-44 passing including completing 19 of his first 21 passes.

The Cardinals had all the right ingredients.  Anquan Boldin had a career high 186 yards while Larry Fitzgerald totaled 151 yards.  J.J. Arrington added two touchdowns as well.

The Cardinals won't be favored to beat the Giants but it will be an excellent barometer of where the team stands in the NFC playoff race.  With Warner's arm and arguably the best wideout duo in the league, the Cards are a threat to win every week.  However, history hasn't been kind to the Bidwill family in recent memory.

The Cardinals will likely win the division for the first time since 1975.  The Seahawks have owned that division but they're already out of the playoff race.  "We're not idiots. We can do the math," said Matt Hasselbeck.
