Fantasy Baseball Week Three Start/Sit

magglio ordonez.jpgWeek Three is now upon us as fantasy owners are now beginning to make weekly adjustments to their respective lineups. What better place to look for adjustments than the Weekly Start/Sit?

Here, we will analyze five players to start and five players to let ride the bench. We will be separating them into five categories: Starting Pitcher, Hitter, Reliever, Youngster and a Bonus player.


Starting Pitcher to Start

When's the last time you saw a young pitcher from Texas getting much notoriety? Don't ask me--for all I know there have been some. However, I know for a fact that there is no passing up former closer C.J. Wilson of the Rangers. So what has happened to the former ninth-inning man in Arlington? To be honest, he seems to have just "clicked."

In his first start of the season, Wilson went seven innings of shutout ball against the surprising Toronto Blue Jays only to have closer Frank Francisco receive the loss later on. In Fantasy Week Three of the 2010 MLB season, Wilson gets two more shots to make you a proud owner. With two starts coming up against the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers, Wilson will have the opportunity to show his potential against two of the better lineups in the American League.

So why start him then? First off, who doesn't like a two-start pitcher? Second, his strikeout potential is so high that the opportunity for solid fantasy production is just too sweet to pass up. To put it simply, give him the start in Week Three...
