Fantasy Baseball Week Two Start/Sit
Fantasy Baseball's Week Two is finally here as
Fantasy Owners begin to wrap up the first seven days of competition!
Hopefully everyone made out fine after the first few days of action, and
now we look forward to the time ahead.
Here, we will analyze five players to start and five players to let ride the bench. We will be separating them into five categories: Starting Pitcher, Hitter, Reliever, Youngster and a Bonus player.
Staring Pitcher to Start
In the final days
of spring training, an epic battle occurred between Atlanta's Tommy
Hanson and Chicago's Gavin Floyd. Since this
is a Start/Sit column, though, Hanson is not the guy that we will be
talking about (If you're not starting Hanson, then I suggest you stick
him in your rotation ASAP). It's Floyd's time to shine, and it's about
time he returned to his 17-win form.
It's most likely that Floyd went in the later rounds of your respective fantasy drafts, and if you had the opportunity to grab him, you will surely be pleased in Week Two. If it's not enough that his first start of the week comes against the rebuilding Blue Jays, then maybe his following start over the struggling Indians could convince you.
If Floyd returns to his form of 2008, then there is no reason why he shouldn't be a regular in your lineup following the second week of the fantasy season. He is a stud who is trying to regain his glory, and a couple of easy starts should lead him to where he needs to go...
