At the beginning of the week, everyone was talking about the New England Patriots being the best team in the NFL. Then they went to Cleveland to play a Browns team that was 2-5 and looked like an easy win for the Patriots. Instead, the Browns blew the Patriots out of the stadium by a final score of 34-14.
Browns RB Peyton Hillis rushed for a career-high 184 yards. What looked like a throw-in player in the trade that sent QB Brady Quinn to Denver now has 644 yards rushing and seven rushing touchdowns.
Start of the Week
Buffalo Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - The Buffalo Bills have not had a very memorable season, but one player that has been a bright spot for the Bills is Fitzpatrick. He is on pace to throw for 3,500 yards, 26 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions with a QB rating of 85.8. It is surprising that a quarterback with those numbers would be on the only winless team in the NFL, but that speaks to the problems the Bills have had on defense this year.
Fitzpatrick earns the dream matchup this week against the Detroit Lions. The Lions are 25th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. I think Fitzpatrick is going to have an excellent week and is a borderline QB1 this week with three star QBs on their bye week (New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees, San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers and Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers)...
