Fantasy Football's Week Nine Waiver Wire

legarrette blount.jpgLast week's outstanding waiver wire pick up was RB LeGarrette Blount, who had 120 yards rushing on 22 carries and scored two touchdowns. He also had nine yards on two receptions.

With six teams on a bye for Week Nine, Fantasy Owners in need of quality players have to look hard in the waiver wire pool. We offer 10 options to help ease some hard choices ranging from players who have favorable matchups this week and some that is advisable to stash on your roster for later weeks' use.

Some of those players are great replacement options for studs that suffered injuries and some are of the handcuff variety.

Brandon LaFell, Carolina Panthers

After having a career day in Week Seven with six catches for 91 yards, LaFell followed up his performance with four receptions for 40 yards, but added a touchdown.

Over his last two weeks LaFell has 10 receptions for 131 yards and a score. With QB Matt Moore at the helm, LaFell is being targeted often and producing well.

The Panthers have been looking for a wide receiver to complement super star Steve Smith; LaFell seems to be the one player with the most potential.
