It is not often that I write a Start / Sit article while there are still games from the week before to be played. However, for the first time since the 1940s, there will be a Tuesday night NFL game, thanks to the blizzard that rocked the Northeast this weekend.
If for some reason a Minnesota Vikings or Philadelphia Eagles player is injured tonight, that would affect my Start / Sit selections, I will make the necessary changes tomorrow.
Most fantasy leagues have their Championship Games in Week 16 because leagues want to avoid situations where star players rest the last week of the season heading into the NFL playoffs.
To accommodate owners that do have Week 17 games, we are still publishing our weekly Start / Sit article, but it is going to be a condensed version with just two quarterbacks, running backs and receivers. It will also include only one tight end.
We will also post our weekly positional rankings for Week 17. We welcome any questions that you have for your lineup or the rankings this week.
Finally, we will not be publishing a Start / Sit article for the playoffs but will do positional rankings with a short explanation of each player's matchup for the playoffs. That article will be geared toward providing advice for people that are picking players for the various fantasy playoff contests.

Start of the Week
San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews - Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game, and Chargers RB Mike Tolbert will not play in Week 17 after a shoulder and neck injury caused him to be carted from the field last week. Tolbert finishes the season with 735 yards rushing and 11 rushing touchdowns.
The result is that Mathews will receive the bulk of the rushes for the Chargers in their final game of the season against a Denver Broncos running back defense that allows an average of 26.4 fantasy points per game.
