Every year, the Fantasy Football Maniaxs selects 10 players that are underrated and overrated fantasy options. A player that we consider to be underrated is one that puts up good numbers every week, but plays on a bad team or does not receive a lot of media attention. He is a player that a person playing fantasy for the first time does not consider over players that are better known.

Conversely, an overrated player is not a locker room cancer or somebody that plagues a team. It just means that he is either a veteran player in decline that does not quite produce at the level he used to or a guy that does things to help the team that do not score fantasy points. It could be a player in a big market that knows how to market himself better than score fantasy points for owners.

Here is a list of 10 Players that we believe are underrated that you can find in lower rounds, because people tend to overlook their fantasy production.

1) WR Mike Wallace (Pittsburgh Steelers) - Everyone realizes that Wallace is a good player, but if you asked people to name the top five receivers in fantasy football, people would not realize that Wallace was fifth in 2011. The only player that averaged more yards per catch than Wallace who finished with more than 20 receptions was Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (22.5).

Given the solid quarterback situation the Steelers have and that Wallace is entering his third season, he is a player that should be selected among the top five receivers and is worthy of a second round pick. I think people realize he is a great talent, but he is not quite the household name that some of the more famous receivers in the NFL...
