News and notes -- week of 4/24

In the wake of UFC 112 a lot has happened other than Anderson Silva being criticized for his showboating performance against Demian Maia. Let's take a look at the recent goings-on in MMA:

    UFC 115 in Vancouver, B.C., Canada sold out in 30 minutes. The show will go down on June 12th with a main event of Rich Franklin vs. Chuck Liddell.
    Anderson Silva has been scheduled to face middleweight top contender Chael Sonnen in early August at what might be UFC 117.
    Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans will be featured in the UFC's third "Primetime" series in the weeks leading up to their UFC 114, May 29th showdown. "Primetime" will air on Spike TV with 30 minute episodes beginning on May 12th and then following each week thereafter.
    UFC heavyweight Cheick Kongo has signed a new 6-fight contract with the UFC. No word yet on when or against whom Kongo will fight next.
    UFC welterweights Chris Lytle and Matt Brown are possibly signing on to fight at UFC 116 on July 3rd in Las Vegas.
    UFC on Versus 2 will go down on August 1st from Salt Lake City, Utah. No main event yet announced.
