Since losing to Rashad Evans at UFC 114, UFC light heavyweight Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vowed to get right back into the octagon against a top caliber opponent rather than sit out an extended period of time once again.
Well it looks like he has put his money where his mouth is as they say.
By signing on to a fight against Rodrigo Rogerio Noguiera, otherwise known as Lil' Nog, in September, Jackson will be returning to action after less than 16 weeks. The former UFC 205 lb champion is 5-2 now under the UFC banner and needs to string a win or two together to get back into the title hunt.
Meanwhile, Noguiera is coming off a razor close split decision win over Jason Brilz also at UFC 114 and despite holding a recent win over Luis Cane, is still in search of that watershed victory over a top 205 lb contender to throw himself into the title contending discussions.
UFC 119 still has no confirmed site or date but is almost certain to go down in mid-September.
