NCAA Tourney Selects Two Pac Ten Teams

pac10-08-mast-left.jpgIn a down year the Pac Ten Tournament did mean something. Arizona State would have qualified for the Tournament if it could have found a way to reach the Pac Ten Championship game. The Sun Devils got upset by Stanford and that opened the door for Washington. The Huskies took advantage of Stanford's win and rode their momentum to a victory over California in the Pac Ten Championship game. Now it is up to California and Washington to prove that the Pac Ten top two representatives can win a few games in the Big Dance. Washington will face Marquette on Thursday and California will play Louisville on Friday. In these games you have the #1 (Cal) team from the Pac Ten against the #6 (Louisville) Big East team and the #3 Pac Ten team (UW) vs. #5 (Marquette) from the Big East. In this Big East vs. Pac Ten match-up the reputations of both of these conferences will be on the line.
