Oregon Ducks coach Chip Kelly was named AP Coach of the Year. Kelly lead the Ducks to a 12-0 record and a berth in the BCS Championship Game against the Auburn Tigers. Chip Kelly's career did not get off to a very good start. In his first game as the Oregon Ducks coach, Kelly's team was ranked #16 and lost at #14 Boise State 19-8 in the 2009 season. Later that year the Ducks fell 51-42 to the Stanford Cardinal. Kelly won the Pac-10 and made a Rose Bowl appearance in his first season in Eugene. This season Oregon won at Tennessee and came back from a 21-3 deficit to defeat Stanford 52-31. If Oregon can beat Auburn, Chip Kelly will be the first Pac-10 Coach to win a BCS National Championship since former USC coach Pete Carroll lead the Trojans to a 55-19 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners in the 2005 Orange Bowl.
