Ducks Ready To Dominate The Pac-10

After beating the Oregon State Beavers 37-20 in the Civil War the Oregon Ducks should be headed to the BCS National Championship against the Auburn Tigers. The Ducks finished the 2010 regular season with a 12-0 record, won their second consecutive Pac-10 Title and they will play in their 2nd consecutive BCS game. Oregon lost the Rose Bowl 26-17 to Ohio State and the Ducks will try to get their first BCS victory since they defeated Colorado 38-16 in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl. Since 2002 if someone mentioned Pac-10 football the USC Trojans would be the first team people would think of. From 2002-2008 the Trojans went to seven consecutive BCS games. The Trojans went 6-1 in those games with two National Championships. During that span USC was two or three levels above the rest of the Pac-10. With their tremendous speed and tempo the Ducks are playing at a level that the rest of the Pac-10 is not ready for yet. Next year Oregon will return QB Darron Thomas (26 TD's), RB LaMichael James (19 TD's), RB Kenjon Barner(5.9 YPC) and CB Cliff Harris(5 INT's). If the Ducks want to go on a run similar to what USC accomplished they have to start by beating Auburn.
