Oklahoma State defeated Arizona 36-10 in the Alamo Bowl. Before the Alamo Bowl the Wildcats were not playing at a high level. Arizona came into the Alamo Bowl on a four game losing streak. This was the second year in a row that the Wildcats got embarrassed by a Big 12 opponent. Nebraska beat Arizona 33-0 in last year's Holiday Bowl. After Arizona's performance last night it is clear that the Pac-10 was a two-team league this season. The conferences two best teams Oregon and Stanford are playing in the National Championship and the Orange Bowl. After the Ducks and the Cardinals the Pac-10 did not have another above average football team. With Nick Foles, Nic Grigsby, Keola Antolin and Juron Criner on offense the Wildcats should have been a lot more competitive in the Alamo Bowl.

Next season there will be a lot of pressure on Mike Stoops to get Arizona to the Pac-12 Championship Game. With USC on one more year of probation the South Division of the Pac-12 should belong to either ASU or Arizona. If QB Nick Foles returns for his SR. year the Wildcats will have one of the best QB's in the South Division. Stoops must find a way to beat the same Oklahoma State team that just embarrassed the Wildcats when the play at Boone Pickens Stadium on September 10th.
