The deal that Commissioner Larry Scott finalized for the Pac-12 will bring each member 21 million annually. Arizona State University President Michael M. Crow stated,"We are very excited about the new national television contract, which will likely become one of the most important advances in the history of our athletic conference. Pac-12 student athletes, who have won more NCAA team championships than any other conference, will be able to perform routinely before a national audience. We will finally overcome the time zone issues that have limited the network exposure of western teams and athletes and therefore limited the appreciation and recognition of them in the eastern and central regions of America." The Pac-12 will have four football games televised on both Thursday and Friday on ESPN. One of the Friday Night match-ups on ESPN will be the USC Trojans at Colorado on November 4th. Saturday games will be televised on ABC, FOX, ESPN 2, FX and ESPNU. The Pac-12 Network will carry 36 football games.

The conference will be easily visible to the entire country and now the teams must do their part on the field to prove they belong among the elite conferences in the country. On the football field the Pac-12 will have a high profile game against the SEC when the Oregon Ducks face LSU on September 3rd.
