UCLA Heading Towards A Bowl Game?
![]()
The Bruins are under a tremendous amount of pressure. There are questions about Rick Neuheisel returning to UCLA next season. The fans have not been happy with the play of the QB's or the direction of the offense. With all the dysfunction surrounding the program UCLA still came into the game against Washington State expecting a victory.
Going into the 4th quarter the Cougars held a 16-14 lead over the Bruins. QB Richard Brehaut left the game with a broken leg forcing an unproductive Kevin Prince into the game. Prince went 8/13, threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns. RB Johnathan Franklin had 12 carries for 110 yards. WR Nelson Rosairo lead UCLA with 3 catches for 120 yards. On the defensive side of the ball CB Andrew Abbott picked off QB Marshall Lobbestael to seal the victory for the Bruins. UCLA is 3-3 and have to find a way to get three victories in their last six games to become Bowl eligible. The Bruins have a Bye next week, but after their Bye UCLA has games against Arizona, California, Arizona State, Utah, Colorado, and USC.
