The Ducks Speed Was On Display Vs. Stanford
![]()
Oregon defeated Stanford 53-30. Speed was the difference in the game. WR Josh Huff had a 59-yard catch. RB LaMichael James had a 58-yard run and RB/WR De'Anthony Thomas had a 41-yard reception. The Ducks showed the ability to have big plays throughout the whole game. The longest play by a Stanford receiver was a 28-yard catch by TE Coby Fleener.
Oregon is now in position for a BCS game. If they win their remaining games they will probably make the Rose Bowl if the teams ahead of them in the BCS standings continue to win. The Ducks goal should be to win the BCS game that they participate in. In the BCS Championship Game and the 2009 Rose Bowl the Ducks lost by a total of 12 points. Oregon has a huge test against USC this week and they end the season with a home game against their rival Oregon State.
