Game #60: Marlins vs Cardinals

Land Shark Stadium - 7:10 PM - Josh Johnson vs Chris Carpenter

Jeremy Hermida picked a good time to hit his first homer since May 30 and just his third in his last 47 games, homering off of Jason Motte in the bottom of the 9th, walking it off for the marlins in the first game of a three game series.

Jeremy Hermida: 2-4, R, RBI - Seven years to the day that he was drafted in the first round by the Marlins, Hermida went boom to end the game. He's now hitting .369 BA with a .429 OBP in his last 57 ABs.

Josh Johnson: 7 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, BB, 5 K - Thanks to his uncanny ability to get involved in a start, JJ threw his fifth straight outing he's pitched into the 7th. In 15 less ABs, he actually has a better K/BB and a line against in innings 4-6 than he does in innings 1-3. He's at his best between pitches 51 and 75 (.172/.209/.207/.416 against, 6.67 K/BB). This is the stuff greatness is made of.
