Pujols is Baseball's Best

Albert Pujols is becoming a regular at winning the Most Valuable Player Award. It's Albert's third award and here is thinking he should have won a couple more that went to Barry Bonds

Pujols is the best player in the game today. He hits for power, knocks in runs, scores runs and hits for average. The guy also has a great glove at first base.

Still people want to throw dirt on Albert. Don't assume just because he excels at his craft and has a great athletic body, that he does enhancement drugs. This is so unfair. Just because other players have come forward to admit drug use, why charge Albert without any facts?

Pujols has a great work ethic. His comments reflect a humble man. He loves the game of baseball and he feels blessed playing it. How can you not cheer for a guy like that even if he isn't on your favorite team?

Albert may have had one of his best years in 2009 because he played with a bad elbow. That alone tells you the player is gifted with his '09 numbers.

Baseball needs guys like Albert Pujols. I hope he continues to play at a high level for many more seasons. But more importantly, I hope he continues to prove what a class act he is on and off the baseball field.
