Martinez Throws 64 Pitches in Four Innings During Simulated Game

Looks like Pedro Martinez has already started playing a bit now, ESPN reports. Recently added pitcher by the Philadelphia Phillies, Pedro Martinez, has thrown 64 pitches over a course of four innings of play in a simulated game.

I wonder how he is feeling.

"Real, real good," the 37-year-old said. "Four innings, I was able to do that. I didn't feel tired. I felt like I could still do a little bit more."

Well that's a good thing to hear actually for us Phillies fans out there. ESPN also reported that he will be throwing off the bullpen on Thursday. However, if that goes well, he'll have another simulated game or he will start to be pitching in a Minor League game.

"I'm not disappointed with the way things went," Martinez told ESPN. "I didn't have a spring training and I'm still throwing strikes. To me, [Tuesday] was a plus."

Let's see what happens after he is healed with his shoulder strain, which resulted into him being on the disabled list for the 15 days. He looks to perform well when he starts.

Watch out for Pedro this year.
